"Our table was a bit of a challenge in at least two ways. It was specified to
work in our large kitchen and hence required some rather lengthy, hard to find,
pieces of recycled wood for its construction. Also Peter was commissioned to
build it during one of Cornwall's coldest Winters (not very glue/polish
friendly).
The build process was made enjoyable, regular email contact
with photographs of the machining, turning and assembly (something you do not
get when you buy from a store).
The result was perfect. Beautifully made, sturdy and full of
character.
Several months on and our table is serving its purpose as the all round
cooking, entertaining and relaxation focal point of the house.
If you need a special table to enhance your home, a table which will
probably last several life times then we would genuinely recommend that you
speak to Peter at CCT".
Mr and Mrs Shearer. Black Rock, Near Camborne.
"We are delighted with the table which we bought from Peter. It is solidly
put together and beautifully finished. Peter was helpful and responsive when we
were choosing the table providing information and photographs. He then kept up a
good level of communication from purchase to delivery".
James and Lis Shrimpton. Cocks, Near Perranporth. "We would have loved a real antique table with “real” timber and proper joints – not to mention the feel that only many decades of use can bring. We couldn’t afford one of those, but we could afford one of Peter’s tables, handmade from old timber with a history which seemed the next best thing. So much more individuality than a factory produced item. We have not been disappointed, our table is everything we hoped for. And Peter’s service has been excellent. He even insisted on visiting our cottage to make sure he could get the table in before he agreed to make it!" The
